Book Projects
In addition to my work as a clinical psychologist at a mental health facility in the south part of Norway, and in addition to my work on the WebPhilosopher.net and the WebPsychologist.org, I have for many years written on various novels and books. I would hope to publish a book some day, but so far I have no contract with publishers or intentions for release on my own. I choose to put a small presentation for one of my projects on this site, hoping to find like-minded individuals who are interested in writing or might be interested in publishing my project. If you have any questions, suggestions or ideas regarding this project, please leave me a note here.
Small stories about psychology: This is a concept that consists of small narratives with a “psychological touch”. We want to tell stories from everyday life and clinical practise to shed light on human psychology “in action”. These short stories (about 1000 words) are rooted in psychological literature, but they also embedded in narratives about the struggles most humans face. Most of the stories have two or three references to relevant literature, but they are told with a straightforward narration that illustrates the psychological issues with examples from everyday life. So far, I have about 25 small stories about: Dealing with criticism, dealing with depression, violence, the problem of obedience, guilt, loneliness, offering condolences, the power of our memory, responsibility, impulsivity, jealousy, fear and many other similar themes. The goal is to create an accessible book with interesting stories told in a catchy way with references to psychological literature.
At the WebPhilosopher.net I have another book project about religion and atheism. Please have a look here if you are interested.
Do you have any comments, suggestions, want to establish a collaboration, similar ideas, want to share experiences, or best of all, interested in releasing my project, please drop me a line here.
